You can create your own IceBreak Application server from the Web Administrator interface or by use of the 5250 interface.

Web interface:

• Open the "Work with server"
• Click on "new"
• On the "Add new server" just click "Next"
• Give your server a name e.g. "MY_FIRST". Click "Next"
• Give your server a description "My first IceBreak server instance". Click "Next"
• Select a port number. That is a TCP/IP port number where your server is listening. Use 7001 as default
• Just leave the "interface address" blank - it is only if you have more than one network card in your iSeres or have configured logical interfaces.
• Select "Development" . This causes the "Just-in-time" compiler to be activated.
• Leave the application library and root path as it is. It will default to "MY_FIRST" just like your server name.
• If you got extra database libraries or uses service programs/ call program - then you can add the library name where they exists in the library list.
• Finally: Select "Start it" and click "Finish"

5250 interface:

• Sign on a 5250 terminal
• Type Go IceBreak and press enter
• Select option 12 “Work with IceBreak servers”
• Press F6=Create
• Enter a IceBreak Server ID (e.g. MY_FIRST”)
• Enter a description (e.g. “My first IceBreak server instance”)
• Enter a port number to be used, e.g. 7001
• Enter *DEVELOP in keyword MODE. This causes the "Just-in-time" compiler to be activated.
• Press Enter and your server will be created
• Start the server by use of option 12=Start Server
• Press refresh to check the status changing to *ACTIVE

Tip: If you need other libraries to be added to your IceBreak servers library list, select option “15=Change Job Description” and change the “INLLIBL” as wanted. Restart the IceBreak server by use of option 13 and "Restart the server" = *YES.

Tip: To make the IFS available from your Windows environment use the ADDICESHR command or take option “16=Add file share” from the “Work with Servers”.

Good luck.
